Four Corners Model Horse Tack Ordering Policies
-
Projects will be commenced in the order that they are received. Turnaround time is usually around 2 months, although more complicated projects may take longer. If you need tack by a certain date, I may be able to hurry it, as long as the piece is simple (i.e. English tack). I cannot rush highly original and complicated work.
-
Deposits – on large custom pieces (any English set or other costume) I require a 10% deposit to purchase materials. I do not carry a large stock of bits and stirrups so these are usually bought to order. The balance is required to be paid before the item is despatched.
-
Time payment schemes can be arranged. Payments must be a minimum of £30 / $55 per month, and unless special arrangements are made the item must be paid off within 4 months. If not the deposit will be retained and the item will be resold. Time payments are only accepted if the full value of the tack is more than £60 / $110
-
Trades – I may accept full or partial trades for LSQ artist resins or customs, particularly ponies, English breeds, English performance and rare light breeds. Tack hardware may also be accepted. For certain tack items a deposit may still be required if many materials are needed.
-
Payment methods – from the US and Europe Paypal is preferred. If this is not possible cheques and money orders will be accepted with 5% added to the total price. Cheques from UK customers are welcome. Cash sent at customers risk.
-
Postage rates: US $4
UK & Europe £2
-
Measurements – So that tack fits perfectly I usually ask for a range of measurements unless I have the model the tack is intended for (but I only have a small collection). So to make life easier I appreciate you supplying a few measurements including the following: Circumference of girth (all the way round the widest part), length from withers to tail, circumference of nose (at about halfway between the cheekbone and the mouth corner), the browband length (including the ‘tabs’) and the headpiece length (measure round the head from one corner of the mouth to the other). I can’t really start making taking without these, so the sooner I have them, the sooner I can start.
